About Craft Ventures
Craft is Brickell Digital’s in-house web framework — a unified system for designing, building, and maintaining venture websites at scale. It was built to solve one challenge: how to launch beautiful, high-performance sites for multiple brands without reinventing the wheel each time. By combining reusable components, flexible layouts, and brand-swappable themes, Craft turns BD’s web presence into an adaptive, future-proof ecosystem.

Brand Identity
Craft Ventures’ brand identity utilizes the Pragmatica Extended and Approach Mono fonts, symbolizing a blend of sophistication and professionalism. Complementing these fonts is a carefully curated color palette—featuring Cinabar, Wild Sand, Makio, Elephant, and White—that balances vibrant energy with a refined, modern aesthetic.

Our Approach

We began building Craft by analyzing the challenges our internal teams faced when launching and maintaining venture websites. This research revealed the need for a consistent yet flexible foundation that could adapt to any brand or product vertical. From there, our design and engineering teams collaborated closely to create a modular system — one that prioritized scalability, speed, and ease of customization. Each component was built to serve as a reusable block, while global tokens ensured visual and structural consistency across every project.

Through continuous iteration, cross-team feedback, and rigorous QA, Craft evolved into a cohesive web framework that empowers BD to launch high-performing, visually aligned websites with precision and efficiency.

Social Media & Promotional Graphics
To extend the reach and impact of the Miami Buildathon, our team also designed a suite of engaging social media & announcement graphics. These visuals were crafted to resonate with the event's energetic and innovative vibe, using the established brand fonts and color palette for consistency.
The graphics included promotional posts, event countdowns, participant spotlights, and highlights of key activities. Each design was optimized for various platforms, ensuring clarity and engagement whether viewed on mobile or desktop. This cohesive and visually striking online presence helped amplify the Buildathon's message, attract participants, and build a vibrant online community around the event.
Printable Designs and Assets
In addition to digital media, we created a range of printable designs and assets to enhance the physical presence of the Miami Buildathon. These included banners, posters, flyers, event badges, and other collateral, all meticulously designed to maintain brand consistency and visual appeal.
Our team ensured that each printed material was not only visually engaging but also functional and informative, guiding participants and creating a cohesive event experience. The use of the vibrant color palette and modern fonts ensured that all printed assets stood out, reinforcing the dynamic and innovative spirit of the Buildathon in every physical touchpoint.
Insights

Our work on Craft yielded several key insights that shaped both the system’s success and how we now approach digital design at BD. Adopting an iterative, component-based methodology proved essential — allowing us to refine modules in parallel with live projects and validate design patterns through real-world use.

Implementing a unified design token system helped maintain visual consistency while enabling flexible brand customization across ventures. This balance between structure and freedom became the cornerstone of Craft’s adaptability.

Close collaboration between design, development, and QA teams ensured that every component met both aesthetic and performance standards, streamlining the transition from Figma to production.

We also recognized the value of continuous documentation — turning Craft from a static design system into a living framework that evolves with BD’s growing portfolio.
